SEK International School Les Alpes is located in the heart of Europe, close to Flumet-St. Nicolas la Chapelle, in the French Savoy, near to Albertville and Megève, at an altitude of around 1,000m. Switzerland and Italy are 70 and 40km away, respectively.
Its unique location, nestled in the heart of Europe, in the French Alps and with Switzerland and Italy less than 70 km and 40 km away respectively, together with the international character of the school, helps students to appreciate and embrace cultural diversity, broaden their horizons, and forge lifelong friendships from around the world.
The new programme at SEK-Les Alpes is a departure from the traditional educational approach, offering a distinctive and exclusive experience for SEK students, harmonised with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP).
Our curriculum is crafted to ensure that every student engages in a six-week module once a year, from Year 6 of Primary to Year 4 ESO, as part of their regular school calendar.
This means that, over five consecutive years, your child will have the opportunity to enjoy this educational experience in the French Alps, sharing six weeks each year with peers from their same educational stage from all SEK International Schools worldwide.
At SEK, students progress year by year, gradually developing academic, personal and social competencies while strengthening their connection with nature and international community living.
Each module of six weeks is structured around transdisciplinary inquiry units, integrating different areas of knowledge to ensure a holistic and meaningful education.
All courses and activities are in English.
Each academic year, every year group is allocated a six-week module. The dates for the academic year 2026-27 are as follows:
