WE ARE A B CORP

If B Corps do not aspire to be “the best in the world, but the best for the world”, we also aspire for our students to be, not the best in the world, but the best for a world that they must strive to build collaboratively in their image.

WHAT ARE B CORPS?

B Corps lead a global movement that promotes ethical values and innovation to maximize the positive impact they have on the community they serve, as well as the environment. With all this, they seek to contribute to the construction of a more sustainable, shared and lasting future.

Currently there are over 3,000 Certified B Corps in the world, in 150 sectors and 71 countries. At SEK Education Group – SEK International Schools and Camilo José Cela University – we consider it essential to be able to instil these ethical and innovative values in everybody in our Educational Community.

PROUD TO GENERATE POSITIVE IMPACT

SEK Education Group is the first educational institution recognised as a B Corp company in Spain. At SEK International Schools and Camilo José Cela University, we are very aware of our ability to generate positive change through education and raising awareness among present and future generations.

We have a firm commitment to the progress of society, using the 12 points of our GEF Manifesto and our competency profile model as a beacon to light our way, not only enhancing the acquisition of knowledge in the students, but also the development of their personal skills.

Aligned with these same values, we collaborate with other strategic entities such as NGOs, town councils, academic institutions or social enterprises, to promote access to new opportunities and the social and job market integration of vulnerable groups, such as refugees or people with some type of disability.

From an environmental point of view, our presence in Europe and the Middle East poses the challenge to continue to improve our practices every day, with a focus on continuing to enhance our energy efficiency in each of our schools, improve waste management and promote awareness and involvement of our learning community.
