Our challenges, your achievements

SEK Education Group promotes learning, innovation and self-improvement among all members of its educational community.

At the heart of this mission are our students—the central protagonists of everything we do.

We strive for excellence and embrace the challenge of preparing them to shape a better world.

01

Technology at the service of learning and humanity

This academic year, we continue our efforts to promote an ethical, effective and responsible use of technology.

  • We will enhance personalised learning through digital tools and promote collaboration between students and teachers in digital environments.
  • Artificial intelligence will be integrated thoughtfully and critically, always with clear pedagogical purpose.
  • We will reflect on the ethical and social implications of technology in education.
  • We are committed to ensuring equity and inclusion in access to digital resources.
  • We will reinforce a culture of privacy and personal data protection.
  • We will create safe and supportive digital spaces that promote student well-being.

02

Critical and creative minds ready for 21st-century challenges

We reaffirm our commitment to nurturing critical, creative and ethical thinking.

  • We will cultivate a culture of thinking that empowers students to reflect, question and generate ideas that drive positive change.
  • Through initiatives such as Reflexión y Propósito, the Scientific Congress and Empowering Young Voices, we will promote self-awareness, rigorous inquiry and engagement with global challenges.
  • We will create learning experiences that prepare students to act as change-makers—ready to face the complexities of the 21st century with open minds and transformative vision.

03

Learning with meaning: In connection with self and the real world

We educate in the world—and for the world.

  • We remain deeply engaged in the development and implementation of the Learning Outside-In project in partnership with Harvard University, exploring how real-life environments impact student well-being across four key dimensions: curiosity, agency, belonging and joy. Our teachers will work alongside international experts to connect learning with real-life experiences and authentic contexts.
  • A highlight of this commitment is the launch of the new Learning Journey programme at SEK-Les Alpes a pioneering experience that fosters holistic student development. Here, nature becomes a classroom for exploration, inquiry, and growth through a transdisciplinary and methodologically diverse approach.

04

Caring for the well-being of the entire educational community

Emotional well-being remains a central pillar of our educational vision.

  • In partnership with the BeWell Center at Camilo José Cela University, we are implementing the SEK Well-being Framework, which promotes physical, social and emotional balance.
  • Each school’s Well-being Coordinator, supported by multidisciplinary teams, leads initiatives that ensure a holistic approach to child protection, health, nutrition, physical activity and digital well-being.
  • The Yale RULER programme will continue to be embedded in the curriculum and pastoral care. Our aim is to cultivate a positive school climate and deepen emotional literacy. We are committed to developing healthy, balanced and emotionally competent individuals.

05

Educating conscious and committed global citizens

We reaffirm our mission to educate globally minded citizens who are critical, empathetic and engaged.

  • We will continue to encourage student participation in international projects such as SEKMUN, WISE, and Design for Change, which build leadership and global awareness.
  • We integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and children’s rights into the curriculum.
  • We connect classroom learning with the real-world issues that define our time.
  • We promote respect for diversity, intercultural dialogue and responsible action as the foundation of active global citizenship.

06

Growing together as an active and connected educational community

As an institution, we see learning as a shared journey among students, families and educators.

  • We will continue to promote collaborative learning environments in which every member of the community plays an active role in shaping its development.
  • Through the Lifelong Learning for Families section on MySEK, we will provide resources and training to strengthen the school–home partnership.
  • We will also support our teachers’ professional development through My Learning, a digital platform that fosters lifelong learning, pedagogical innovation, and the growth of professional learning communities.
  • The My Collaboration space will provide opportunities for reflection, peer feedback and collective growth among educators.

07

Lifelong learning: Developing independent learners with agency for life

We are committed to educating students who are equipped for lifelong learning.

  • Through the digital portfolio, we will support each student in documenting and reflecting on their learning journey.
  • The portfolio will play a key role in the development of the SEK Diploma, which recognises students’ holistic growth beyond the academic curriculum.
  • We will design experiences that nurture autonomy, critical thinking and personal commitment. Our students will be confident and prepared to face academic, professional and personal challenges.

08

Create, lead, transform

We are dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship as a core skill for the 21st century.

  • Through initiatives such as F1 in Schools, Junior Achievement, SEK Lab Junior, and the First Lego League, we offer students real opportunities to develop creativity, leadership and innovative thinking. These experiences, tailored to each stage of education, promote initiative, collaboration and problem-solving. Our students will be prepared to turn ideas into meaningful action, creating a positive impact in their communities.

09

Transforming education for a sustainable future

We reaffirm our commitment to sustainability as a cross-cutting principle in our educational approach.

  • As a certified B Corp organisation, we work to generate a positive impact on society and the environment.
  • Our students will take a leading role in initiatives such as EcoSEK, integrated into the curriculum and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • From local action to global awareness, we will foster active ecological consciousness.
  • We are preparing students to be responsible citizens, committed to building a fairer, more sustainable future.
