SEK Education Group rewards its teachers and professionals for their best educational practices on SEK Day

Once again this year, SEK Education Group presented its annual awards in recognition of the work carried out by its teachers and professionals, both at SEK International Schools and Camilo José Cela University.

The SEK Education Group Awards to the best professional inquiries have gone to:

Early Childhood: ‘Animating Young Minds’, by Ciara Shannon and Thelma Gudmundsdottir, teachers at SEK-El Castillo.

Primary: ‘Estimulación cognitiva en el aula: Programa Arrowsmith’, by Rosalía Martín Villalba and María del Mar Ribas Villalonga, teachers at SEK-Santa Isabel.

Primary: ‘Pasaporte ODS’, by Nuria Garzas López, teachers at SEK-Riyadh.

Secondary Education: Understanding conceptual art through use of AI’, by Marta Landazabal Verde, teachers SEK-El Castillo.

Bachillerato: Global Challenge’, by Héctor González Álvarez, teacher at SEK-Ciudalcampo.

The Felipe Segovia Award to best SEK Student was awarded this year to Claudia Eva Serna Vázquez de Prada, a student at the SEK International School Ciudalcampo, who achieved the full scholarship that is given each year to the most outstanding student of their year at SEK Education Group.

The Mª Rosa Bonet Award to Social Commitment was awarded to Jaime Barrio Cortes, Terín Beca Martínez, Lourdes De Serranos Jiménez, Marian de la Morena and Antonio Rivas González for the ‘Viajero como impacto social’.

Camilo José Cela University Awards went to:

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award: ‘Animación a la lectura con Inteligencia Artificial y Realidad Virtual’, by César Valentín Gómez de la Cal.

Technology and Digitization Award: ‘Experiencia de aprendizaje centrado en el alumno: un viaje digital con las TIC’, by Natalia Lara.

Social Commitment Award ‘Searching Help’, by Mateo Pérez.

Wellbeing Award: ‘La realidad virtual como herramienta de tratamiento para el dolor cervical crónico en pacientes con fibromialgia’, by Edurne Úbeda.

Teaching Excellence Award: Academic trajectory of Laura Herrero.

Award for Excellence in Research: Excellence in Research 2022/23 to Mayra Martínez.

Administrative Management Award ‘Orientación universitaria y promoción de la UCJC: cambio de un modelo hacia el éxito’, by Jesús Guodemar

This year, awards were given for the best end-of-degree, end-of-master’s and end-of-cycle projects with a positive impact from students at Camilo José Cela University:

Award for the Best Final Year Project with positive impact: ‘La sostenibilidad en las empresas de transporte: el caso de Ontime’, by Diego Galdeano.

Award for the Best Final Master’s Project with positive impact: ‘La sotenibilidad en los eventos, impacto de la Agenda 2030 y los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible’, by Alba Estévez.

Award for the Best Final Year Project with positive impact: ‘Proyecto empresarial sostenible para potenciar la buena alimentación como hábito saludable’, by Mavi Daleshka Rojas.

Following what is now a tradition, tribute was paid to professionals who mark 25 years at SEK in this academic year and those retiring this year. This year also saw the presentation of the book entitled El Aula Inteligente: Aprender en el Tercer Milenio.
