Noelia Cava, teacher and learning technology coordinator at SEK International School Santa Isabel, was given the prestigious award by the STEM Women Congress, a platform for the visibility and promotion of female talent in STEM. The award was presented at the CosmoCaixa Barcelona.
The award was given for the first time to those teachers who most fostered an interest in STEM among young children at this fourth year of the event. Noelia Cava has made an outstanding contributing to STEAM teaching and launched innovative projects that included science, programming and robotics. She is also the author of technology books (Impresión 3D) for Primary, has travelled as a volunteer to developing countries to help in digital literacy, and has been recognised by numerous organisations.
The STEM Women Congress is an international meeting point for companies, initiatives and institutions to encourage female talent in science. It hosted an audience of over 3,000 in this fourth edition.
