SEK International Schools begin the 2023/24 academic year

The SEK International Schools based in Spain (SEK-El Castillo, SEK-Ciudalcampo, SEK-Santa Isabel, SEK-Alborán, SEK-Atlántico and SEK-Catalunya), in addition to SEK Dublin International School, have started lessons for the 23/24 academic year, while SEK-Les Alpes will start lessons a day later, on 7 September. SEK-Qatar and SEK-Riyadh started term last August.

SEK Education Group welcomes back its over 6,000 students in a new stage that brings to fruition the work carried out in recent years, and that begins with a renewed, more open and innovative crest, projected towards the future and reflecting the SEK identity.

The new school year includes several new initiatives at SEK Education Group. On the one hand, the new SEK Online School begins its activities offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, a pioneering initiative that continues SEK’s tradition of innovation in international education and that allows it to explore new educational formats.

Joining the SEK educational community are Beacon Private School in Bahrain and New World International School in Oman , which, together with SEK International School Qatar and SEK International School Riyadh, consolidate our presence in the Middle East.

Nieves Segovia, president of SEK Education Group, highlighted that, “although this growth is important, our major focus continues to be people. More so at the beginning of an era that reminds us of the words of our founder, “the ultimate goal of education is the humanisation of mankind.” Hence, I would like to highlight the collective effort we have made in recent years to successfully overcome times of uncertainty, and the determination with which we now join an emerging revolution around artificial intelligence”.
