SEK International Schools and Camilo José Cela University, as part of SEK Education Group, are part of the global We Go Beyond campaign, so that our educational community can see how we generate a positive impact, always putting people and the planet first. SEK Education Group has been the only education group in Spain to boast the B Corp seal since 2020.
SEK Education Group strives to raise awareness on the importance of caring for the environment and the impact generated by its activity. An example of this is our commitment to healthy spaces that contribute to the well-being of our students and our teachers, as in the case of the Villafranca Campus (Healthy Campus) and the new UCJC Castellana Campus, the most sustainable campus in Spain, located in the financial centre of Madrid.
In the realm of social impact, we pursue social enterprises that have a purpose, we actively seek out initiatives that contribute to making a real improvement to our surroundings. For example, the UCJC Impact Lab incubator (open to UCJC students and teaching staff);the Impact Lab Junior (held at schools with young people) or the UCJC Foundation SFERA programme, in collaboration with Latin American universities, where young people present their entrepreneurial projects linked to at least one Sustainable Development Goal.
The SEK Future Learning Model aims to be at the forefront of innovation in lifelong learning, as well as fostering SEK Profile skills, which materialises as valuable training proposals for our students, such as The Hive (La Colmena) at UCJC (experiential learning programmes outside the formal classroom) or CAS Activities (Community, Action and Service) and the SEK Diploma at SEK International Schools.
