Camilo José Cela University (UCJC) promotes inclusive and equitable education through its participation in the Eduder Project, an Erasmus+ initiative aimed at ensuring access to higher education for vulnerable groups in Latin America. This effort is part of the SEK Education Group’s educational model, which aims to promote flexible, personalized, and collaborative learning.
The Eduder Project, coordinated by Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, brings together 19 universities from Spain, Portugal, and Latin America to develop strategies that promote equity and inclusion in the university environment. Within this framework, UCJC is responsible for coordinating and managing project communications, a task that has involved developing a communications plan and a visual identity manual. As part of this effort, the official project website (www.eduder.org) has been launched, documenting the progress and contributions of the participating universities.
In this context, in February 2025, UCJC participated in the 2nd Regional Meeting of the Iberian Peninsula, held at the University of Beira Interior (UBI) in Covilhã, Portugal. UCJC was represented by Bruno García Tardón, África Presol Herrero, and Laura Melendo Rodríguez-Carmona, who presented the mentoring plan developed by the university. During the sessions, other collaborating universities also presented their proposals, including the University of Cádiz (UCA), the University of Beira Interior (UBI), the National University of Distance Education (UNED), and Pablo de Olavide University.
UCJC’s participation in the Eduder Project reflects its alignment with the principles of the SEK Future Learning Model, which promotes inclusive education through learning adapted to the needs of each student. It also reflects SEK Education Group’s commitment to social innovation and global citizenship, fundamental pillars of its educational mission.
Finally, the Eduder Project inspires cooperation between universities to ensure equitable educational opportunities throughout the region. To follow the project’s news and developments, visit its LinkedIn profile.
