Summer SEK, SEK Education Group’s summer camps and courses, have been a great opportunity for boys and girls to live unique experiences and develop skills and competencies such as teamwork, leadership, creativity, ingenuity, discovery of new environments, learning more about the world of technology or the spirit of improvement, with English language practice and mastery as a backdrop to all these activities.
Summer SEK took place during the month of July at the six SEK schools in Spain and at University Camilo José Cela, at the UCJC Sports Club, with over 800 students from both the SEK International Schools and from other schools.
New for this year, a broad ranging catalogue of activities were created for students to do online, ‘SUMMER SEK from Home’, with creative activities for the little ones, technological courses for ESO students, extra online tuition and revision for older students, as well as offering entrepreneurship or English language activities, among others.
The safety and health of our school community is, at all times, our top priority. Which is why, all the summer camps and courses that have been held in person at schools have been subject to strict rules and protocols that have been established with the aim of protecting the well-being of students and teachers. The SUMMER BOX system was adopted, delivering boxes to each student at the beginning of the course with materials and teaching resources in order to minimise risks of contagion.
