SEK Education Group, in its support of social engagement as one of its main pillars, celebrates once again the SEK Corre por la Sonrisa de un Niño fun run, organised jointly by the NGO Por la Sonrisa de un Niño (PSE) and the Felipe Segovia Foundation.
This conference will take place next Saturday, 28 September, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Villafranca Campus of Camilo José Cela University. The objective of this event is to raise funds to help the NGO Por la Sonrisa de un Niño change the life of thousands of children living in extreme poverty, providing them with a quality education that allows them to access a better future and be part of the construction of a sustainable and fairer world.
The races will be divided into three different categories, depending on the age of the participants. At 11:00 a.m., children up to 6 years old will run a distance of 250 metres, where they can be accompanied by their family members. All participants will receive a prize.
At 11:30 a.m., it will be the turn for participants aged 7 to 12, who can also compete with their families, and will run a distance of 800 metres. In this category, there will also be a prize for all runners.
Finally, at 12:15 p.m., it will be the turn for junior runners (up to 17 years old) and adults (18 years old and above), both in male and female categories. In this case, they will compete in a distance of 2,500 meters and the top three finishers in each competition will receive a prize. In addition to the races, the day will feature games, music, and entertainment for the whole family, and a snack will be served courtesy of Catergest.
Runners can sign up for the run from 16 to 27 September by filling in this form. Once registered, on the day of the race and at the UCJC Villafranca Campus, participants must identify themselves and collect the bib by paying a donation of 5 euros. They can also register on the day of the event in person at UCJC. Furthermore, anyone, even if they do not participate in any race, can make a donation at the same place where the bibs are collected.
