Currently only seven schools in Spain hold the CIS accreditation, three of which belong to SEK Education Group. In Madrid, SEK-El Castillo and SEK-Ciudalcampo are the only Spanish schools accredited by CIS and recognised as examples of high educational standards.
CIS schools are first-class schools with an international and inter-cultural focus and that strive for continuous improvement. Leading universities from around the world recognise CIS schools as examples of high educational standards and as demanding the best skills from their students.
Obtaining the CIS accreditation certifies that SEK-El Castillo and SEK-Ciudalcampo students are given an education that meets the most stringent international quality standards.
The CIS accreditation recognises that the accredited school:
- Guarantees a commitment to the CIS mission statement
- Has carried out a rigorous self-assessment process enabling it to bolster its strengths and areas of improvement
- Focusses on a student-centred approach that enables them to develop as well-rounded individuals
- Does what it promises to do and only promises what it can do
- Accepts the results of objective evaluations carried out periodically by external observers and experts
- Pursues continuous improvement of its curriculum and in all other areas of school life
