SEK Education Group presents its sustainable business transformation initiatives at B Good Day 2023

B Corp gathered more than 450 leading change companies to humanise the economy at its annual B Good Day event, which took place in Barcelona. One of them was SEK Education Group, which was represented by Nieves Segovia and Alejandro Delso, SEK president and director of Strategy and Innovation, respectively.

SEK Education Group is the only educational institution with the B Corp seal. Therefore, Nieves Segovia participated, as a representative of this sector, in the round table discussion entitled ‘The world is our sole shareholder: towards a shared good’. Segovia stated that “being a facilitator of the personal purposes of students and teachers is a great responsibility. Young people have a very different social awareness to our generation, they have it as standard. Young people want to lead a change of consciousness because they understand their connection with society and the environment.”

The president of SEK Education Group remarked that “our students learn not what we say, but what we do. That’s why we are BCorp. We must transform the traditional educational system, it has to listen to society, to the students and respond to their current needs.”

This edition brought together more than 450 attendees and 300 organisations from multiple sectors, which are record figures for this event. The event was presented by the journalist Danae Boronat, and included twenty sessions in which the need to continue promoting sustainable business transformation in Spain was discussed.

From its inception in 2014 to the present day, B Corp has established itself as the leading movement in business sustainability and systemic change in our country.
