SEK-Catalunya School and the Vallromanes Golf Club have signed a new agreement that strengthens their shared commitment to comprehensive education through sport.
The meeting, held at the club’s facilities, brought together David Bauzá, Director of SEK-Catalunya, and Carlota Sabaté, President of Vallromanes Golf Club. Both signed an alliance that positions golf within the school as a first-rate educational and training tool — combining values, discipline, and learning.
The agreement integrates the club into the SEK International Sports Academy, a pioneering initiative in Spain designed to help students balance their studies with high-performance athletic training and technical development.
Through this model, SEK-Catalunya students will have access to a specialized golf training program that includes weekly technical sessions, tailored physical conditioning, sports psychology support, strategy and fitting sessions, on-course simulations, and personalized evaluations throughout the season.
The program is led by the club’s technical team and supported academically and personally by the professionals of SEK Education Group, ensuring a global and well-balanced learning environment.
In addition to the sports component, the agreement includes scholarships managed by the Felipe Segovia Foundation and the possibility of accommodation at the school’s residence. This international dimension allows students to enrich their personal and academic development while nurturing their athletic talent.
During the signing event, Carlota Sabaté highlighted the educational value of the initiative: “We firmly believe in golf as a means of human development. We share SEK’s conviction that sport instills values and opens pathways for young people’s futures.”
For his part, David Bauzá emphasized the importance of integrating sport into education: “Golf teaches respect, balance, and perseverance. Through this alliance, we continue to offer our students real experiences that help them grow as individuals and as athletes.”
This collaboration represents a significant step forward in the joint commitment of SEK-Catalunya and Vallromanes Golf Club to combine academic and athletic excellence, helping shape a new generation of students capable of excelling both in the classroom and on the course.
