Students, teachers, families, alumni, emeritus teachers and professionals of SEK Education Group starred and took part in the spectacular farewell party to mark the end of the 125th Anniversary celebrations, held at the Teatro Nuevo Alcalá in Madrid. The gala, entitled “Past, present and future … together “, gathered over a thousand people at a party paying tribute to the educational values that have united our Educational Community since 1892, the year of its founding.
The dance, drama, choir and music groups from SEK schools took the stage to showcase different performances that they had been preparing for some time with their teachers and families with great effort and dedication.
The SEK-Ciudalcampo drama troupe welcomed the audience with their performance entitled Grecia, followed by a performance from the SEK-El Castillo athletic dance students. There was also time to enjoy great musicals such as: Grease by dance students from SEK-Atlántico or The real story of Simba by SEK-Santa Isabel students and former students of the SEK-Ciudalcampo drama group and choir.https://ciudalcampo.sek.es/https://elcastillo.sek.es/https://atlantico.sek.es/https://santaisabel.sek.es/

“Throughout history, human beings have celebrated great events with music and dance… artistic expressions that unite us, that we share and that are very dear to us,” said Nieves Segovia, President of SEK Education Group. “I want to remember my father on this special night, when he said that it was in the pre-Socratic era, even prior to these historical characters who have accompanied us today, when what he called “the path of wisdom” began. As is set forth by our ethos, SEK seeks to perfect society by perfecting our students, which is why we decided to set forth and contribute to this path of wisdom 125 years ago“.
The event enjoyed great participation and was widely shared on social media. The #125SEK and #125AniversarySEK hashtags were trending topics in Madrid – in 11th and 12th place on Twitter-.
