SEK International School Alborán has been ranked first in IB Schools’ European league table and tenth in its global rankings for schools with small cohorts, based on the 2026 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme results. This achievement places the school among the highest-performing institutions in its category in both rankings published by the website.
SEK-Alborán’s cohort of 13 students achieved an average score of 37 out of a maximum of 45 points. This result places the school at the top of the European Small Cohort league table, the category used by IB Schools for schools entering smaller groups of students for Diploma Programme assessment.
SEK-Alborán is also the only Spanish school to feature in the top ten of the global rankings in this category. The school shares tenth place with another school that achieved the same average score, in a table featuring educational institutions from a range of countries.
The IB Schools rankings, published on the website run by education consultancy Education Advisers, are based on the average scores achieved by students assessed in the Diploma Programme. The website publishes separate league tables by cohort size and geographical area, with distinct rankings for Europe and the United Kingdom. SEK-Alborán’s position among the leading schools highlights this cohort’s academic success on the international stage.
