Rafael Fente, a student at SEK-El Castillo, won a bronze medal in the 4x100m medley event at the Paris Olympics

In his Olympic début, Rafael Fente won his first Olympic medal in the 4x100m medley relay, beating world and Olympic record holder Pan Zhanle alongside his French national team teammates. Fente competes representing France, but lives in Madrid. He is part of the SEK Sport Academy training programme and trains daily at the UCJC Sports Club facilities, under the technical direction of Juan Camus and David Muñoz. He also represents the SEK-El Castillo team in national competitions.

At his young age – he is only 17 years old – he has just added an important Olympic medal to his already brilliant list of achievements: a bronze medal at the last European Junior Championship in the 100-metre freestyle event and record holder of Spain and France in the freestyle and backstroke events.

Rafael will now rest for a few weeks and in September he will return to SEK International Schools El Castillo, to finish his last year of school.
