Nieves Segovia takes part BeTalentSTEAM, a collaborative platform for the transformation of the educational model

The President of SEK Education Group, Nieves Segovia, took part today in the presentation of BeTalentSTEAM, a collaborative platform promoted by the Club Excelencia en Gestión and the Altran Foundation, to drive the transformation of the educational model, with the aim of generating a collaborative network that provides dialogue and meeting points between educational institutions, public authorities and companies.

Nieves Segovia mentioned in her speech, the need to boost STEAM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) from the earliest stages of education, as well as at university, to thereby educate new generations in the search for innovation and to be inquiring and promote research.

In addition, she advocated for promoting STEAM skills, particularly among girls. According to the OECD, just 24% of women choose the field of engineering, industry and construction in Spain, and in the case of information technologies, the number falls to 12%.
