Two international swim meets were held in May, the Absolute European Championship in Budapest and the Monte Carlo International Meeting both with representatives from SEK Education Group.
Taking part in the European championship were Juan Francisco Segura (in the 50-metre backstroke and 50-metre freestyle) and Jaime Morote (in the 50-metre breaststroke and 100-metre breaststroke).

Our two swimmers had a good competition, obtaining very good times, but they did not manage to qualify for the finals.
Only Juan F. Segura took part in the Monte Carlo Meeting in the same races as in Budapest. In the 50-metre freestyle he took 14th place and he came first in the 50-metre backstroke and was overall champion. This victory has been an important step in his international career and has given him the opportunity to participate in the Rome meet at the end of June and in Lisbon at the end of July.
Swimmers from the CD SEK took part in both competitions with the national team and Juan Camus went with them as the Real Spanish Swimming Federation coach for these competitions.
