Question.- How did you feel knowing that you had won the Felipe Segovia Award to student of the year?
Answer.- I was truly excited and perplexed: I didn’t know exactly how to react. On the one hand, I felt immense relief, because I thought that the dedication and effort, I had put into the last few years had helped me achieve this goal. On the other hand, a feeling of gratitude ran through my body, as I was completely grateful to my friends, family and to SEK for this moment.
Q.- What do you value most about your time at SEK?
A.- I consider that SEK is capable of providing me with a personalised education and using a wide variety of pedagogical and digital tools. However, if I had to highlight something about the rest of my education, it would be the all-round education it provides, as it strives to offer as many skills as possible (oratory, critical thinking, creativity, multidisciplinarity, etc.).
Q.- What values does SEK instil in its students?
A.- It is clear that they instil a whole host of values. To begin with, integrity and equilibrium, that is, trying to be as all-round as possible in what we do. Another value that I would highlight is commitment, which allows us to meet all the objectives we set for ourselves. Finally, I would mention an open mind, as it is essential to be open to new ideas and have an interest in learning new things.
Q.- What are your future plans for your education? What would you like work in?
A.- My current plans are to study some combination of sciences (such as physics, mathematics or chemistry) together with another degree in the social sciences or humanities (such as philosophy or economics), as these two areas have always interested me. From there, the job opportunities I consider range from research (through a Ph.D.) to working in other sectors (such as technology or economics).
