Fran González, a former student of SEK International Schools, made his debut as goalkeeper for Real Madrid’s first team last Saturday, April 5, in a match against Valencia at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, which ended in a 1-2 loss for the home side.
At 19 years, 9 months, and 10 days old, González became the youngest debuting goalkeeper since Iker Casillas, who first played in 1999 against Athletic Club in San Mamés. He is also the fifth-youngest goalkeeper ever to debut in the history of Real Madrid.
