On January 6, 2025, Diego Aguado and Chema, students at SEK International Schools, made their debut with the Real Madrid first team in the Copa del Rey round of 32 match against Deportiva Minera. This moment marks a milestone in their sporting careers and reflects the joint commitment of SEK Education Group and Real Madrid to excellence in academic and sports training.
Diego Aguado, a 2nd year Online Baccalaureate student at SEK International Schools, and Chema, a former student at SEK-Ciudalcampo School, left an indelible mark in a match that consolidated their effort, talent and discipline.
With a 25-year alliance between SEK Education Group and Real Madrid, the young players of the football club have combined their academic training with the development of their sports career in the classrooms of SEK International Schools. In recent years, more than a thousand students from the Real Madrid youth system, both in the football and basketball departments, have completed their school studies at SEK-El Castillo and SEK-Ciudalcampo.
SEK Education Group, through its SEK International Sports Academy programme, provides high-performance athletes such as Diego and Chema with a personalised educational model that combines academic and sporting excellence. This approach allows students to develop their full potential in both areas, making a difference in their professional and personal careers.
