The SEK-Alborán Educational Community and its study programme is clearly committed to helping the most disadvantaged and not only over Christmas. Therefore, it runs a robust charity project in which families, students and teachers work and collaborate throughout the school year in favour of various charitable associations: The Red Cross, El Ejido Soup Kitchen, SEK for Siyakula, Association of Parents of Children with Cancer -ARGAR-, or the Ballesol Nursing Home, among others.
This fund raising and solidarity programme at SEK-Alborán was born in 1999 and, in the words of Luis Carlos Jiménez, its Principal, “Social aid is part of the school’s educational programme”
